FIRST STEP AFTER YOUR APPLICATION
After we receive your application, we’ll get in touch for a short phone call. This isn’t a formal interview, but a first chance to get to know each other. We’ll answer any initial questions, you’ll get a first impression of us, and we’ll arrange a date for the first interview.
THE FIRST INTERVIEW
We conduct the first interview via Teams. Colleagues from HR as well as from the relevant department you applied to will take part. This way, you’ll get to know the people you might be working with directly, can ask technical questions, and get a realistic picture of what working at Schönhofer looks like.
A few things that can make it easier to get started:
Make sure you’re in a quiet environment where you can focus. Check your tech beforehand – a stable connection, a working microphone, ideally a headset. Learn a bit about us and the interview format so you can ask specifically what you’re really interested in. And it’s a good idea to have a pen and paper ready – it’s often more useful than you’d think.
There’s explicitly room for your questions at the end of the conversation. About our projects, our company culture, onboarding… everything is welcome. There are no wrong questions.
SECOND
STEP. AFTER THE INTERVIEW:
If it’s a good fit for both sides after the first conversation, we’ll invite you to our office in Siegburg or Bonn. This is about going deeper into any open points from the first conversation and getting to know each other in person. You’ll be able to see our workplaces for yourself and meet the colleagues at the site.
A few practical notes for your visit:
Plan your journey in good time. Parking is available on site, and if you’re coming by train, Siegburg station is about a ten-minute walk away. As for the dress code, we don’t have one. Come as you feel comfortable, no one here expects a suit and tie.
After this conversation, we usually have everything we need to make a decision. And if everything fits, we’re happy to be able to make you an offer to start at Schönhofer.
